What is a power hour?
A power hour is a drinking game in which a series of songs are played. Each song is played for a minute and between each song the players take a shot (typically of beer.) The game is typically played for an hour, hence a power hour. Many variations of rules exist and the songs you choose are up to you.

What is iPowerHour?
iPowerHour is a program designed for iTunes that can turn any play list or series of songs into a power hour. iPowerHour will do all the work for you: it will switch the song every minute, remind you to drink, and keep track of time. All you need is a computer, iTunes, and music.
Starting with version 2.0 iPowerHour can also turn any iTunes playlist into a power hour CD as well. So even when you don’t have a computer near by you can take your power hour mix on the go.
What do I need to run iPowerHour?
-Apple iTunes v4.7.1 or later
-Windows XP/2000
Where can I find the Mac version of iPowerHour?
Though developed independently from the Windows version iPowerHour is also available for Mac OS X
here.
What advantages does iPowerHour when ran with on the fly?
-There’s no need to burn CDs all you need is music and iTunes.
-You can randomize the order of your power hour mix easily by using iTunes built in randomizer.
-You can play a game longer than the 80 minutes a CD limits you to without repetition or changing CDs.
-iPowerHour scripts provide an easy way to customize the game even further; allowing you to vary song length and flow of the game easily.
How is iPowerHour superior to classic methods of creating power hour CDs?
-Fast and easy.
-No expensive software. iPowerHour is and always will be free.
-Putting together a power hour CD is as easy as putting together an iTunes playlist.
-You can take the CDs you make places where a computer might not be available to play iPowerHour on the fly.
How do you start a power hour with iPowerHour?
Starting a power hour in iPowerHour is simple.
1) Launch iPowerHour. If iTunes isn’t open already open iPowerHour will automatically launch it for you.
2) Click once on any song in your iTunes Library or in an iTunes playlist.
3) Press play in iPowerHour.
How do I burn a CD in iPowerHour?
1) Launch iPowerHour. If iTunes isn’t open already open iPowerHour will automatically launch it for you.
2) In iPowerHour select “Create burnable playlist…” from the “File” menu.
3) Select a playlist you would like to use from the list and press okay.
4) Burn a CD in iTunes as you typically would using your newly created powerhour (the power hour play list will have the same name as the source playlist except with iPH in front of it.)
How do you change the clip between songs?
This can easily be done from the options dialog (“File”->“Options…”). You are limited to having .wav files as the clip between songs but you should be able to find a ton of them online with a Google search. You can load multiple clips at the prompt by selecting multiple sound clips with the laso tool; they will play back randomly between tracks.
iPowerHour scripts.
To load an iPowerHour script go to the options dialog (“File”->“Options…”). When running an iPH script the title of the script will appear in the status area of the application window. Once loaded, burn a CD or play a power hour on the fly as you usually would with iPowerHour.
